1948
Foundation of the company Lederer Elastic-Garne by Jörg Lederer in Amstetten/Alb-Donau Kreis. Initially, production concentrated on wrapped rubber threads for sock edges and elastic tapes.
1960
Development of covered Lycra yarns for support stockings.
1975
Expansion of production at Plant 2 and development of the Corespun Division.
1980
Takeover of the company by Manfred Lederer. In the mid-80s, with the development of the Satin Sheers, yarn production experienced a boom. Flexible action was in demand – and Lederer concentrated its yarn development efforts on tights.
1981
Construction of the Hamel Elasto Twist Department.
1987
Extension to plant 3 in Amstetten.
1995
Takeover of Coyarn AG in Switzerland.
2009
Coyarn AG: construction of new administration, warehouse and shipping buildings
2014
About 150 employees work at two locations: in Amstetten and in the subsidiary of Coyarn AG in Haag, Switzerland
2015
Manfred Lederer hands over the management to Klaus Sutter and Peter Wiesenberger; he remains closely associated with the family business as an advisory board member.
2017
The management is supplemented by Mrs. Stephanie Lederer.
2021
Generation change: Stephanie and Beatrice Lederer take over the management of the family business.
2022
The management of Jörg Lederer GmbH is complemented by Bernd Grupp.
Stephanie Schäfer (formerly Lederer) leaves the management due to parental leave.
